Energy
Monitoring Technologies, Inc., is a
company founded by two ex-utility
employees with a combined experience of
over 40 years in the utility industry.
Their
goal was to develop a reasonably priced device that tells customers how much electricity they are spending.
For
years working in the utility industry
they have dealt with dissatisfied
customers complaining about their high
electric bills in the summer. They asked,
"Why should a customer have to worry
about how much their next electric bill
will be?".
With
today's technology a customer should be
able to know how much electricity they
are consuming and how much their electric
bill will be at the end of the month.
So
they set out to do just that and called
it "The
Electric Usage Monitor", because
it's like having your own easy to read
electric meter (inside your house) to
tell you how much electricity you are
using.
Their
experience in Marketing, Customer
Service, Product Development and Energy
Efficiency proved invaluable. After 2
years of research, testing, development
of a prototype, more testing and
refinements, the product was finally
ready for release to the markets.
The
Electric Usage Monitor is
now being rolled out with great success. The
EUM-2000 is purchased
primarily by homeowners, renters and
apartment owners. The EUM-2000 has also
been purchased by some U.S. utilities,
electrical contractors, air conditioner
contractors, energy professionals,
consultants, etc.
The
EUM-2000 will be to residential customers
much like "telephone caller
ID", in that it provides you
valuable information. Once you use it,
you will not be able to do without it.
Research
performed by electric utilities shows
that customers will benefit from
"whole house energy monitoring"
which is why the EUM-2000 was developed.
NEW:
The product has been redesigned and new features
added. The new name "The Meter Reader" model EM-2500
is propelling this product to new heights.
